The Open Door Scholarship Russia 2027, officially the Open Doors: Russian Scholarship Project, is a free online competition that gives international students and researchers a route to tuition-free study or research work at leading Russian universities. It is run by the Global Universities Association, a consortium of Russian universities, with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and Rossotrudnichestvo listed as partners.
Registration for the Open Door Scholarship Russia closes on 1 November 2026. After that date, participants can no longer add to or edit their account details or portfolio, so anyone planning to enter has less than two weeks left.
Winners of the Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD tracks receive tuition-free education under the Russian Government quota for foreign nationals. Postdoctoral winners receive a research position at a Russian university.
