ISLAMABAD – The Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr. Reza Amiri-Moghaddam, has issued a stern rebuttal against what he described as a coordinated “propaganda machinery” targeting the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, dismissing recent reports as “fake and fabricated.”
In an official statement released today, Ambassador Moghaddam categorically rejected allegations circulating in regional media, characterizing them as a desperate attempt by “the enemy” to distract from strategic failures following recent military tensions.

Rejection of “Fabricated” Claims
Ambassador Moghaddam emphasized that the spread of misinformation is a direct response to the aftermath of the “12-day war.” According to the envoy, these disinformation campaigns are designed to compensate for the enemy’s inability to achieve its objectives on the battlefield against Iranian forces.
“Such disinformation campaigns are a desperate attempt by the enemy to compensate for its failures… failures it could not conceal after what it did not achieve during the 12-day war on the battlefield,” the Ambassador stated.
Tributes to Iranian Defense
The statement paid high tribute to the “brave Iranian soldiers and commanders” who defended the nation’s “sacred soil.” Ambassador Moghaddam reaffirmed the unity between the Iranian leadership and the military, describing the Supreme Leader as a “wise, courageous, and steadfast” Commander-in-Chief who stands “shoulder to shoulder” with the resilient people and vigilant security forces.
A Call to Pakistani Media Ethics
Addressing the media landscape in Pakistan, Ambassador Moghaddam urged journalists and media professionals to maintain high ethical standards and rely on verified sources. He cautioned against an environment “polluted by digital terrorism” and misinformation.
Key points emphasized to the Pakistani media included:
- Reliance on Credible Sources: Utilizing verified official channels for information regarding Iranian state affairs.
- Due Diligence: Exercising rigorous fact-checking to combat ethical misconduct in digital reporting.
- Professional Responsibility: Preserving the “distinguished standing” of Pakistani journalism by resisting the spread of unverified claims.
The envoy concluded by stressing that such professional responsibility is essential to maintaining regional stability and the integrity of the bilateral information space.
